The heart of every electric motor

An Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) is the module between your flight controller and your motors. It converts low-level throttle signals into precisely timed power pulses that spin a brushless motor. Inside the ESC, transistors switch on and off at high frequency to generate a rotating magnetic field inside the motor stator. The result is smooth, responsive speed control - from idle to full throttle - with no signal loss or latency. Without a reliable ESC, a multirotor cannot hold attitude, respond to stick input or protect its motors from overcurrent damage.
